New Hope brings an 8-week peer-support program right into elementary, middle, and high schools across the Greater Long Beach area.
Grief doesn’t stay home when a child goes to school. More than 1 in 12 U.S. children lose a parent or sibling by age 18, and 7 in 10 teachers have a grieving student in class, so New Hope brings caring peer support right to where kids already are.
Our school-based model helps bereaved students feel seen, supported, and understood, building connection and healthy development after a loss.
